As the fall was coming to a close a few weeks ago, here in The Centennial State, a few friends and I adventured to the Ya Ya Farm & Orchard in Boulder County. This farm is over a century old and home to over 120 apple varieties. It was beautiful. We filled our paper bags with a mix of red delicious, golden delicious, jonagold, jonathan, and winesap apples. My favorite….

Winesap apples are crisp and slightly tart. Great apples to munch on and to bake with.
The orchard is also home to several Percheron Draft Horses.
